  1. I have seen the readme.txt of the TMPGENC program and it states that for optimum the resolution of the hardware must set 24bit and above.

    Why do we need to set our hardware with high resolution? Does it concerns with the encoding?

    all along i thought encoding has nothing to do with hardware resolution. Can anyone enlighten me?

    I think they are sugesting that things will be better displayed in 24 bit....
    This is not a hardware encoder......All programs list min and recommended equipment....that often reflects the machine that the program was designed for and tested on.
    The software also recommends multiple cpu's along with the 24 bit 1152x864 color......
