I'm new to the movie scene and burned my first VCD last night. I have a Panasonic PV-D4741 DVD/VCR Combination. In the manual for this, it says that it does not support DVD-R/RAM, CD-RW, CD-ROM, etc.. it also says not to attempt to play a CD-R. However. I burned a movie last night to an imation gold tint 80Min CD and stuck it in my player. It read it fine but was stopping and starting about once every 1-2 seconds. Since I haven't tried any other media, I'm just wondering if this is most commonly a problem with media that your DVD player doesn't like or that your DVD player will not play them correctly? I have found no information on this DVD Player on this site and will test and submit my findings..

    Thanks,
    FL-

Also, can someone tell me the best media to use. I've heard it depends on your player, but surely there's an 'idea' that blue's or silver's seem to work best on the most wide-range of players or something to that effect...

Just wanted to let everyone know I tried 2 more types of media. Memorex CD-R Gold Tint and Memorex CD-RW Blue Tint. Both of these worked fine with no pauses or skips. This player does not support MP3, however, as I tried that also.
