I have convert from divx(avi) to MPEG2 with TMPGEnc a 91 min film and then split them. From these MPEG2 files burn 2 SVCD's.
In 1'st SVCD sound delay begin at 5 minute of the movie, and at 1'st part end (55 min) delay was 4 s. At end 2'nd CD delay was 8 s.
I have'nt test whole (not splitet) MPEG 2 file.
Is this problem TMPGEnc, whent program at first count video part, then audio part and merge both into MPEG2?
Sorry for poor english.

Use Virtual dub to cut the AVI before encoding. I used to have the same problem.
