Is the IEEE 1394 firewire port that comes with the Sound Blaster Audigy cards good for a Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge? I find it a little weird that a sound card acts as a transfer device for not sound, but video. Is there a greater chance of lost frames with an Audigy than a regular IEEE 1394 card?
Thanks for the help.

Well - I'm not sure about the Dazzle but I read a review where they said the firewire port worked perfectly on the Canopus ADVC-100 and the two units are similar.
The Audigy firewire port got a decent review at tomshardware.com as well, it compared well in speed and performance to a dedicated firewire card.
