  1. Hi Everyone
Wonder if anyone can help me.
When I begin to encode an avi with tmpgenc it sometimes comes up with the message Illegal floating decimal point error. Then it wont encode.
Help please I'm a really green newbie
    Thanks

  2. Look to your left - "How to...Newbie". Click that and then scroll down to the section that reads:

    "TMPGEnc common problems
Answers to most common errors in TMPGEnc, such as problems opening the video, illegal floating errors, audio problems, p3 package errors"

(there's a ton of info in those guides, very nice)
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  3. I believe the fix is to bump the priority of the DirectShow filter in TMPGEnc's Environmental Settings section (it default to -3, push it to 1 or 2).
