  1. My one hour avi file is exported by Matrox RT2000 and direct copy by Virtualdub with audio file opened. And then I use TMPGEnc12a to encode it as mpg file. Since I select highest quality and MVBR8000, it takes 28 hours to complete the encoding.

To my surprise, after 28 hours that the encoding is 100% done, when I check my video drive, there is no .mpg file! Nor could I find it everywhere in my computer.

Is it a bug in the version 12a?

Can someone tell me how to avoid this problem?

Open TMPGEnc again and see where you set your target file to - it should be there!

Open TMPGEnc again, change the name by one digit and press encode - after 10 secs - stop the encoder and check.
