  5. VCD_Hunter - spend the time reading this wonder wealth of knowledge posted on this site, it will pay off bigtime.

THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND! 8)
Listen up, assuming your movie fits on an 80minCDR (get some at wallmart haha!)
1.get Tmpgenc 2.55 and Nero burning rom(demo) from the tools section
    2. in Tmpgenc project wizard that comes up, under videoCD click NTSC
    3. browse for your AVI file then click next
    4. click next on filter page (unless you want to cut the credits off your movie - I like to to save time and space.)
    5. unclick start encoding immediately, click OK and your in the main screen now.
    6. click settings
    7. click advanced tab
    8. under video arrange method click full screen (keep aspect ratio)
    9. click ok
    10. click start and wait for it to encode (i like to turn off the preview screen)
    11. go into Nero (click videoCD)
    12. click new (put blank CDR into burner duh!)
    13. drag your mpg file into the left Nero pane
    14. click the burn icon up top
    15. pray your DVD player plays VCD's

  8. This sort of reminds one of the "DOWNLOAD TOOL!" thread...or pulling teeth, deposing an uncooperative witness, etc.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

Sounds like you haven't got the right codec installed. Check the Tools section of this site for the Nimo Codec pack - it's got most of the common ones in.
