You nee dto look under newbie guides or author section....
In short convert avi to an VCD compatable mpg with TMPGenc....if its over say 70 minutes and you want to fit on one CDR/RW then you need to lower bitrate...thats non standard VCD.
Then burn that to a disc using Nero and its VCD option...
Play in dvd player....thats if your player supports em. -
you must convert the file
Read the how tos, use the search, read, read, read, read before posting questions like this -
Thank you for your support. I thought that this is the newbie questiong posting site. That is where I was when I posted. I know how to converted to VCD from AVI. I was just asking if there is a way to fit one movie on a cd that is 70 minutes long. How can I compress it more so it those not come out to be so many meg's. If this is not the plase to post this kind of threat please let me know. I thank you for helping me out. I've never gone to a post site and gotten the bad respose I got from yours. I thought this was a site for help. I guess I was wrong. I know I'am a newbie, but you where once a newbie too. Next time think of what you are going to say before you say it. If you don't like to help than you should of left the question alone. If I posted in the wrong site I'am sorry for that, but I was just asking a question. I read and read and read, but can't find anything that would answer my question that is why I posted. I hope I did not affend anyone, because that is not my way of doing things.

Spinary old boy, as you would know theres always a grouch everywhere so just ignore, in answer to your question if you know that you got to convert an AVI to compliant mpeg your halfway there. DOPNT go lowering bitrates in VCDs lower than 1250 man cause your gonna end up with 3rd rate unwatchable crap.
The answer to your question lays with a man known as KWAG and his site
http://www.kvcd.net
He has developed templates for TMPGE that will convert up t...e.
DaveWelcome my son, welcome to the machine. -

Thank you guys for the quick response and thank you for making me feel part of something good. I love this site and I would not leave it for anyone. I have learned alot from this site. I know there is a grouch every where you go that thinks they know it all. I should learn to ignore that, but its very hard when you start thinking every body starts from the bottom you don't know it all. I don't think I have to be sorry for that, but I'am sorry for the people that think that way. This is why alot of sites just like this have maid it big, only because alot of people share there thoughts. Thant is the only way to learn. I know there is alot of things I don't know, but I try very hard and I learn them. So its hard to ignore someone when they are putting you down. I work with alot of people like that and they don't know it all, but they act like they do. I thank you very much for helping me out and leading me to the right direction. I hope one day I can return the favor.

I did it I did it. TasDavo2 I'am so excited man I've been trying to get this going for a while. Thanks to you and the site you gave me it all came into to place and I was able to do one cd. Kwag is a great site. This is how I did it I took the avi's and joined them with vdub then once joind I took the template from kwag's site (kvcdx2-740x480-ntscfilm-1cd.mfc)and loaded it into tmpge. Created the mpg1 not only did it compress it, but I was able to put into mpg format in a short amout of time. Then I loaded nero 5.5 to burn the ONE CD. There was only one thing the picture pixels don't look that sharp for the movie (ENOUGH), but its one step closer and I'am very happy :D :D :D . Well I want to thank you and everyone else that maid this 4th of july a fireworks for me. This is so cool I'am seriously into this movie thing and when I acomplish something like this is very big for me.
Thanks again
