  1. I have been using the WinTV PVR-250 for a few weeks now.
Most all tv viewing and capturing is done with the default
' DVD standard play setting '. I have used the composit video
input to record a few VHS movies to my hard drive. On several
recording attempts at about 1hr 20mins into the copy the WinTV 2000
program will crash on other tries the recording appeared to finish
correctly. Examining the partial and successful mpeg files created
I've found they are all 4,194,304 KB in size and all end at almost
exactly 1hr and 23minutes. I have yet to capture an entire movie.

Is there a setting in the software that I have missed for maximum
file size or could this be a limitation of XP ? The files are being created
in an empty 60 gig partition.

I have emailed Hauppauge support twice on other issues and
have never received a response so any assistance will be
greatly appreciated. My computer system is detailed in my
    user profile.

    Thanks

  6. Even if you use NTFS you are limited to 4gb in wintv captures.

I know i captures a program that ran for 2 hours and 35 minutes at 4mbps fulld1 and it split the file when it went over 4gb. The second file was over 550mb and had to be repaired because it was corrupted.
