  1. Hi all...
Sorry if this is an doublepost....

I've looked around, and haven't found a solution to convert
.avi files to VCD and insert subtitles into the vcd Image at the same time.

Is this possible to do with an existing program?

I've been told that I first have to use VirtuaDub to insert subtitles.
Then I have to convert it to VCD format with TMPGEnc.

Well, if I do that, it will take a great deal of time, but how is it with the quality?

I think I repled to your double post, there is no better method.

The quality will drop if you insert subs on top of the movie, but should be ok if you put them only on black borders, apart from this, the quality should be as good as the source.
