  1. I typically create my VCD's with menus using TMPGEnc for the encoding and EZCD deluxe 4.XX for the burning. I have nice start up screens and a cool menu to access certain clips. The Apex 500W seems to play some discs while it will crash playing others. Everything remains the same as far as the creation process goes... encoder, burning software, media... all the same.

Anyone else run into this situation?

  2. Nope I had an apex 660 and it played everything I threw at it, but I used Nero for menus

  3. Paul,

I have had problems with VCD with menus on my Apex 500w. I tried using Nero to make the menus. It didn't crash, just played the movies all screwy.

  4. So... is it just the menus that the player doesn't like? If I made a straight VCD without menus would the disc play OK?

    Thanks--

  5. Paul,

From my experience yes. If you just leave out the menus the vcd should play just pefectly. I just use the tracc selection as my menu system now
