  1. Hi -
When I go to burn my SVCD-MPEG/2 in nero I get this:

The file video.mpg is not a valid file for creating a standard
Super Video CD disc. A compliant video file requires the following
    spec's: ... ect... ect...

    The folling problem was found:
    - Stream encoding which is invalid for a [Super] Video-CD

    Do you want to:
Turn Off compliance and continue ?
    Re-Encode the video File ?
    Cancel ?

I am using Nero 5.5.8.2 with the SVCD plugin.

Thank you for any help here !!!

  2. I believe that that is what is supposed to happen. You just tell it to reencode and it will then reencode the video as needed.

My problem is that after I do that I end up a cd that is not recognized by my Power DVD. My ATI VCD player will play the clips but there is no menu.

I have heard that you can't make menu's that are clickable with Nero. Why would that be? Nero keeps putting out new versions wouldn't they have fixed that by now? It's not some obscure function after all.

Just choose turn off standard compliance and continue and it should work. You don't need nero to reencode the mpeg2...
