  1. Hi All,

Well I have a problem, the playback of vcd's either from the cdrom or the harddisk is awfull, stuttery and pretty unwatchable. My PC is a Celeron 266, Intel LX motherboard, 160 mb RAM, Cirrus Laguna AGP card. I am running Windows XP Pro version. Other than this the computer is fine, so any ideas what is going on much appreciated. I have played my VCD's on much lowlyer machines than this no probs, so I guess it probably isn't PC speed?
The software I am using is: Windows media player, Sasami 2K & Elecard MPEG 2 Player.
    Any help much appreciated.
Damn this techie stuff, why can't it have only two buttons like my trusty dreamcast?

  2. I know that minimum play back PC speed for DVD is P2 500, This can be overcome with a decoder card, which you seem to have, I notice you are using media player, try getting a copy of WinDVD 4 XP. you need a DVD player (software) to play back Dvd or Svcd.

    Hope this helps
