  1. When I convert an avi to a vcd it doubles in size, is this right
Im using Lsx encoder then Nero and sometimes virtual dub for sound.
But this makes a 700mb avi become a 700mb visual file and 600mb
audio file....which makes over 1gb...... Is this correct

Approximately 80 minutes of video will fit on a 700MB CDR in VCD format. The VCD mpg will be around 790MB if I recall correctly. If you are encoding to VCD from a DivX(avi) the intermediate process will produce an uncompressed wav file, which is typically around 1GB in size. This is no matter, because the final VCD will have compressed audio.
