  1. is it possible to fool nero to burn a mpg compliant file as a dvd onto a cdr.

  2. no... there are a lot of reasons why not.

    Mostly 'cause DVDs and CDs are completely different media and burning onto them is a different process for the burner as well as the computer. Just 'cause they're the same size and are both shiny, doesn't mean they're the same.

    I think what drg was asking is, is it possible to burn a DVD project onto cd-r ( media, filesystem etc.)...to which the answer is Yes!....it is called mini-DVD or cDVD or whatever people want to call it these days. You only get around 15 - 20 minutes though so don't be expecting to get a movie on there....also, unless you have one of the newer DVD players, don't be expecting your set top player to play it....
