is there a way to save a program so when you restart the computer meaning with the restart cd that it will still be there? or cant you? thanks for any help on this topic.

That makes no sense.
Restart cd?
Do you mean is their a way to save a program so that will still be their if you reformat? If so, no you cannot. You can burn essintial data to CD or put it on other media, however you will need to re-install the program after the re-format -
If you mean like a GHOST restore cd, then no. Not unless you put that program on another disc/partition. Ghost will blast the entire disc clean.
