Berzerk...whatever you get pointed to, ascertain what your return / satifaction guarantee options are for what you buy. You may find that real time MPG2 capture is not as acceptable as you expect, compared to AVI capture and post processing. I have a WINTV PVR card that can't produce the results in real time even at 12 MB/s that I can get via an AVI.

maybe a was a little unclear of what i wanted.....I dont want to capture to AVI(To spaceconsuming) and i know there are programs that can convert captured video in real time, Ulead videostudio for example. But my question is....Is there any program out there that make this better then Videostudio(Convert to MPEG in realtime)

Soft base cannot record VBR (Variable Bit Rate), which means you have to use a CBR (constant bit rate). The other is that you can only capture audio at 44.1 kHz, which is good for CDs and VCDs which use this sample rate, but not DVD which uses 48 kHz.
Good Lucky
You could always get a WinTV-PVR 250 it come with ever thing you need MPEG editor and DVD authoring software and dosen't cost arm & leg to get. -
