DVD-9 to DVD-R movie only no menus Question

I have stripped streams and VOB-ID's from a DVD-9 with IfoEdit. I closed IfoEdit, then selected "get VTS Sectors". I have verified the VOB's with PowerDVD, and it is exactly how I want it, just the movie.

I have read you can load the Video_TS.ifo in IfoEdit and select "play dvd" and it will play the DVD. I used IfoEdit to play the "original" ripped version (prior to stripping) from my hard drive and it worked great. When I try to load the new video_ts.ifo it gives me a "getnumberofchapters failed" error and will not play.

Question #1: Is this getnumberofchapters error fixable, should I worry about it, if I burn the VIDEO_TS folder will it work?

Question #2: Is there a program I can use to simulate my HD as a DVD to test before I burn?

Something got screwed up in there. Not sure how it would happen when just stripping out the extra stuff. PowerDVD 4.0 will allow you to load the Video_TS.ifo. Just select Open DVD Files from Hard Disk. That's one way to simulate how it will play.
