  1. Greetings,

I recently purchased a Panasonic Q from overseas with the all-region modification. It plays DVDs great, and original SVCDs/VCDs.

However, for SVCDs on Verbatim (blueish backs) and Office Depot (Greenish backs) it skips like crazy after a few seconds and then plays haltingly, i.e. "hey *stop* you *stop !" when it should be "hey you!"

I realize that Panasonic Qs are relatively rare, but can any of you think of a player that (Panasonic, maybe?) that had a similar issue? Perhaps a suggestion of a type of media?

    Thanks very much.

  2. Here's an interesting update...

I recently tried a cd-rw, and it did the same thing.

Out of frustration, I hit the "fast forward" button (2x) and then suddenly the audio became "normal" and the video on the screen struggled to keep up with the audio.

So, from this, I have reached the conclusion that in normal play mode, because the audio is skipping, the video also *skips* so that it can stay with the audio. When I fast-forward at 2x, the audio normalizes and the video struggles to keep up.

What does this mean? Is the audio at too high a bitrate? Could somebody give a suggestion?

    Thanks!

  4. Greetings,

Er, could you be a bit more clear? I had trouble understanding what you're talking about.

Also, my Q is modded for all-region DVD and Gamecube play.
