  1. i need help. i have a sony dvd burner and am using the supplied dvd burning software mediaSTREAM neodvd. i burned to mpg2 from an avi i created in vegas. the orignal footage was captured on a sony digital camera. when i play the dvd in my panisonic dvd player it is very jerky.
    am i doing it all wrong? is it the player? please help. thank you.

    hmmm, i have some experience with vegas so i will try to help. It sounds like the field order is wrong on your video. before you render the video, go into the options in the mpeg plugin and change the interlace field order to the opposite of what is there. In other words, if its bottom field first, change it to top field. You could also switch it to progressive, but unless your dv camera is progressive, you can lose quality. As a last resort, you can use progressive, but i suggest you select top field first
