  1. i am using "dvd2svcd" with cinema craft encoder and ripping dvds ...the quality is pretty good ...but it is a little blocky at times and pauses and cuts out here or there...i was reading some of the posts .will the blockiness improve if i change the vbr multipass? right now it is set at the default of 4 ....if not what could i do to improve that?

  2. anyone know the answer?

I have blockiness with CCE also on fast scenes, with nearly everything setting I've tried. you may have to use TMPG CQ mode.

  3. VBR is optimal around 3 or 4 passes though I'm wary to give advice on how to fix blockiness.

  4. Soften block noise in TMPG, or Anti Noise Filter in CCE
    Test with different values.

    whats your source?

    Is it avi?

If its a bad avi it will look like that but dvd2svcd with dvd and cce at 4 pass should look great.
