  1. i converted a avi file that is a dvd rip. i set it on normal.i cut it in half when it was a avi and converted each half with TEMPGEnc. i burned it to a cd and played it on my dvd player. it was fine for a few mins then it would freeze for sec every once in a while and the sound would be off every once in a while also. ive burned vcds and they dont do anything like that. and vhs rips dont do that too. only seems to do it with dvd rips.most the time with converting avi to mpg. is there some kind of frame rate or anything i can change in the TEMPGEnc settings so it will run perfect on my dvd player?please HELP!

  7. yeah but i think im doing someting wrong when converting it from avi 2 mpg? does the framerate have to be the same as the avi when converting to mpg? and the video says 25 fps and that frame rate says pal and i want ntsl. i jsut odnt want the movie to lag or whatever. is it when covnerting, when burning, ect that is making it do this?

  8. If you change the framerate from the avi to the mpg, you will either get out of sync audio or jittery video. If you are in europe chances are your DVD player/TV will work with either format. If not you will need to do a proper conversion, take a look at:
