  1. i have a copy of spiderman on cd ,svcd, wont play on my stand alone dvd player ,,,i have tried everything to convert it to vcd and nothing works.

    the whole svcd to vcd is a load of bollox , prove me wrong, please .


    teach me baby and if your in exeter then lets get together and swap films lol

    it cant be done can it

    no wait i tell i lie i did convert it but the the results were crap very blocky
    and a waste of time

    use ulead vidoestudio6, i was having the same problem but videostudio sorted it out no problems just download the demo(then u know what to do with the demo lol) and load in the svcd the save as vcd it does a pretty good job. if u want me to send u more info send me a mail...

  7. i have to admit too
    The SVCD to VCD conversion in the convert section you
    find at your left is a waste of time.
    If you encode MPEG2 to MPEG1 you will lose qaulity
    There is another known method to leave the MPEG2 as it is and
    put VCDheaders in it to make your player think it's a vcd

    Do a search on this forum

    That is nonsense. Any conversion means a drop in quality. However, converting 480x480(576) to 352x240(288) is perfectly acceptable because the source resolution is much bigger than the target. Obviously if you don't like VCD, you will think it a waste of time.

  9. i have got videostudio5,,,?? cant make head nor tale of that ???
    more info please or do i need videostudio6??

    i tried the vcd header trick and couldnt work that out ???

    can you do this with the AVSEQ02 that you find burnt on the svcd disk ???
