I am thinking of buying Hauppauge WinTV Nicam Stereo FM -TV card at the price of 126 €. Link to Hauppauge's own site http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/html/analogue.htm#pcifm and the price is in my opionion quite good compared to the specs.

The usage of this card is aimed on capturing 30min (without commercials ~21min) TV show episodes and converting them into SVCD PAL format fitting 700MB CD-R discs.

Is the card and my system capable to do that capturing? (Hardware: Duron 700MHz, RAM 512MB, 60GB HD, GF2-MX display adapter and the future TV card of course)

Is there any good instructions aimed only on capturing a 30 min show and getting it into SVCD CD-R disc? What will the screen size and the quality of audio be when using a 700MB CD-R disc? Audio will probably be in stereo. If you have good settings (size, format etc.) for this purpose please paste them.
Also the software, codecs and other listings I might need would be appreciated.

BTW: Can the audio on SVCD video be in MP3 format?

And you people that have done this "one episode on one SVCD CD-R": Is the picture and sound quality enough good for watching those discs on a normal ~30" TV?
