Hello folks!
What is the dual-channel option in MP3/Mp2 audio enconders? Is quad-phonic audio? Can I use this to make dolby prologic VCDs?
I'm a newbie and I thank any help.

Yes, dual-channel can be used to make prologic VCDS. If you encode in joint stereo, however, it destroys the Dolby encoding.
(Rev. Jake isn't too smart in these matters, but will share what he thinks he knows)
Dual channel splits your bitrate and applies half to each channel. For example, if you're encoding at 160kbs, the left channel gets 80, the right 80, and never the twain shall meet.
I think. I may be completely off on this. In any case, prologic (s)VCDs are entirely possible. That much I know.
