what the hell. why doesn't tmpgenc 2.54 Plus Ultra registered have a frame rate of 23.976 fps. it has it only with internal 29.97. Why? What difference>

If your TMPG copy comes without the NTSC(FILM) tempates, just use the ones of a previous version. But I don't think, that the ultras found a way to delete your templates.

it does come with the templates but in the Settings under the Video tab, the frame rate option allowes for "23.976 fps (internally 29.97 fps)" instead of just "23.976 fps" What is up with this deal. And anotrher thing...what are the ultra's different from just plus.

I think there is no difference, the latter is just giving you a more accurate description of what ntscfilm is. Its encoded at 23.976fps but played back at 29.97fps, and all the information needed to do the framerate conversion is derived from the source 23,976fps file, so internally it is still 29.97fps.
It seems that the only thing that is different is the name of the template. To verify this just compare the two temlates to each other, they should be identical.
