  1. I cannot find any software that will encode my avi with audio compressed as mpeg4 to SVCD. They will encode the video but with no audio. says it is unsupported. how do you convert the audio so it is supported. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  2. Just extract the audio as a WAV using Virtualdub then encode using resulting WAV as audio input.

  3. I tried using virtual dub but it says it does not support the Mpeg4 compression. So what else can you use.

  5. I have tried several different encoders, Tmpg, Tmpg plus, Avi2vcd, dvd2svcd, instantcd/dvd, honstech Mpeg encoder. but none will recognize the audio, it will play in all media players with sound but when i encode to vcd or svcd there is no audio.

    I think that VDub 1.3d or higher will not use the MPEG4 codec anymore.

    Install the Mpeg 4 Codec.... There is more than 1 you know....

    Right click AVI select properties, see which its using... Whoosh rush to shop and get missing codec

    try "Nimo Codec pack" its on special

    It "Might" not support ASF


    Microsoft locked the driver in the final 4.00.0.3845 build so that it would only work with Windows Media Encoder. DivX 3 is actually a copy of this driver with the lock hacked out, and the format tags changed to be distinct from the original. The most popular version of DivX, 3.11a, is a pair of drivers that derive from Microsoft's 4.1.00.3917 and 4.1.00.3920 builds. The "unhacked" version of DivX 3 is the Microsoft driver
