I just bought a Sony Vaio notebook (FXA49) and it captures nicely at 720X480...I need more flexibility like 352X240 to save space...however the pre-pack software does not let you capture any smaller res. I know some of you would love to capture at 720X480, but it eats so much space.
I tried VirtualDub and the Dazzle Hollywood DV Bridge software. I only get 'gray' screens when previewing on the VirtualDub monitor(meaning it does not see anything), and the same on the Dazzle. It does not capture anything either.
Does Sony only recognize a straight DV signal instead of a breakout-box style like Dazzle?
Thanks.
