  1. I created 4 or 5 videos using Videostudio6 and encoded (in VS6) them as DVD mpeg-2 NTSC (720X480) format to put on a DVD-R. When I try to add them into Spruceup for autoring it tells me invalid file types. Anyone know what the problem might be? For the hell of it I tried to run those MPG files through TMPGenc and reencode to see if Spruceup would then take them. I ended up with no audio. I would like to find out why my original encodes aren't accepted but failing that why do I lose the audio on the reeencode on TMPGenc? Thanks.

  3. What is the file extension on your video file? Is it .m2v? If it isn't, rename your video file with the m2v extension. (Ex. Movie.m2v). Also, if you want the audio, the filename needs to be the same as the video filename.(Ex. Movie.ac3). Hope this helps.

  4. Cooly-o,
Am I correct in assuming that I need to convert from 44.1 to 48khz for Spruceup to accept the files? Does Demultiplexing seperate the files into to components (audio &video)? Then convert the audio then multiplex the files back together? Is this right?

    jslombar,
I'm not quite sue what you're saying. The files that I get from VS6 are *.mpg What would changing them to m2v do? Spruceup is supposed to take *mpg files. Also could you explain that last sentence a little more. What filename are you referring to? Thanks.

yes the audio should be 48Khz.
You should inport as elementary streams (quicker than mpg) with names

    myfilm.m2v
    myfilm.mpa

    or
    myfilm.ac3

the audio will then automatically get added.

I find spruce handles files very well.
