  1. I have a problem...when converting from avi file to svcd in avi2svcd, the sound becomes stretched and it lags behind the video a little at the start and then increases as the video goes on...is there anyway to stop this stretching of the audio when converting(since shrinking it is not an option according to everything i have read) from avi to svcd?

  2. Try out my AviFix utility.
There is a guide here: http://www.azstarnet.com/~jeffryj/avifix.html
If this fixes it, please let me know.

    Thanks,

  4. It doesn't recognize long filenames.. Try shortening the AVI filename to 8 letters then the .avi

I'm working on a Windows version that doesn't have this problem, but I'm not as quick with Windows coding yet

    Thanks,

  8. when you converted to MPG, did you use the AVI for the sound input or the WAV that was saved? Try the saved WAV and see if that makes a difference.

  11. Try to encode video and audio separately, then mux them together.

    1. encode video with CCE or TMPG.
    2. extract WAV audio from AVI with VDUB
    3. encode audio
    4. mux video and audio with bbmpeg.

be sure to check AV delay and the length of audio and video and make appropriate adjustments.
