To those with this troublesome player...

Some of you have managed to successfully create VCDs and SVCDs by using Memorex CD-RWs. I went and bought a pack and I used Nero to burn the image. My DVD player still will refuse to read it. For those who have made the impossible (for me) possible, could you please list in detail the steps that you did in order for the DVD player to read it? There is a massive thread in the newbie forum called "DVD problems" (I should have started it here, but...alas, I was a newbie indeed) and that will explain all the pain I've been through, lol.

Anyone? Please...?

The odd things is that people say that this player will only play CD-RWs, but when I put in a CD-R, it actually reads it for a few seconds, but then displays the "No Disc" text. With the CD-RW, it doesn't think twice about reading it and just shows up "No Disc."

What the hell is wrong? lol
