i was given a malata mp-2001v portable vcd player as a gift. it was bought in hong kong. it plays both PAL and NTSC vcd's but the output is made for PAL, meaning that whenever I plug it in to an NTSC tv, its black and white and scrolls.

Is there any way to make it output to NTSC tvs? it sounds stupid but maybe if i try a different video cable will it work? please give me some ideas. thanks
