  1. The captured Video looks fine.(I am using Pinnacle DV500 pro). I have tried all the applicable export options... When I convert to MPEG, still ok. When I use TEMPGEnc the "problem" shows up...... The view looks as tho there are "Rain Drops"being viewed thru a window.

    I have changed connecting cables, moved them to isolate thinking maybe the problem is noise related...Replaced the video card, added ram so I have 512 megs. (I never drop frames when capturing) I have also tried a different computer to no avail.

  2. Your "raindrops" are most likly common compression artifacts. What format are you using? VCD? Do not compare DV video with VCD, you will loose 3/4 of the video quality...

  3. Because I haven't found a way to go directly to mpeg2 on exporting from Pinnacle DV500 Pro, I first select mpeg, then TMPGEnc and running it is where I first see the *RainDrops*.....
