Video looping when capturing home made video

I got MMC 7.1, AIW pro 32MB version, WinME.

When capturing home made video (church recordings, weddings), i got looping, flashing video for about a few minutes then carry on with normal video.

What's going on ?

read that it might be due to MacVision thing but it's home video i'm talking about, not commercial tape.

Tried applying MacVisionRemover and 30secRemover cracked but still got the looping and flashing thing.

have tried MMC6.3 and MMC7.0 - same result.

Pls help.

Are you pressing record on the computer and then play the tape?

yep. Objective is to convert all tapes to VCD.

Just read from archive that the patch from doom9 won't work on WinMe, Svideo input and S-VHS vcr. Well i'm on WinME, using Svideo input and playing the tape on S-VHS.

hv tried swtiching to RCA input and notmal VCR but still got the same loop and flash.

In my humble opinion, I think what is you doing is capturing unused signals from the vcr before you press play. Try this... Press play and then quickly press pause, press record on the computer and than play the tape. Then edit out what you don't want from the begining of the capture.
