I have noticed a problem with DVD2AVI with newer DVDs. It seems that copy protection has been improved and after I have ripped the contents with CladDVD I then use DVD2AVI to create a project file for TMPGEnc.
However some DVDs I have had recently will not create a Project file. I start the process but the screen goes blank and although the progress bar moves it does not create a file which I can load into TMPGEnc.
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and whether there is a solution.
Many Thanks.

which movies are you talknig about, there has yet to be a move that I cannot rip n copy or frameserve. Everyonce in a while I'll get one that I must adjust the when reencoding for synch up audio and video.

The movie is ME WITHOUT YOU. I just cannot create the project file.
Also I have got some New Order singles which they released on DVD. I cannot copy these either. -
in dvd2avi, is the VFAPI plug in checked and the other settings nomral? sometimes the settings shift ( same with tmpenc, especially with tempenc ). I use 1.76 by LOLI.J, been using that version for years due to the fact it has never failed to frameserve and create a project file. There is no copy protection present if you have managed to rip the vob files to the hadrive, as once you got them there you are set and frameserving should be a walk in the park. BTW you can go to www.galaxypak.com or cdrsoft.cc and download the vcd galaxypak ver 2.27 ( mine is ver 2.26 ) and install it as it has DVd Decryptor, DVD2AVI and TMPEGEnc on one folder as a 3 pak ripping combo. This is what I use for pretty much 99% ripping / framserving.
If you have powerdvd installed open up the ifo file and run it to see you got the valid vob files and see that they play.
