I wanted to know the resolution I would have to render an image for it to be suitable for the actual 70mm film and not just for viewing on screen/TV.
Like what resolution/image-size do the production houses use in rendering for special effects in 70 mm movies released for the theaters.
Please help,
thanks in advance,

Greg12,
Thanks for your reply but I need it for the actual film. The horizontal value is somehwere in the neighborhood of 9600 pixels and the width is roughly half of that. It may be much more than this since the figures I have are for medium resolution. I wanted to know the usual numbers for high resolution.
If you can tell me the actual resolution of cellulite (sp?) in films, we can guess the number pretty much in the ball park.
Please help me out if you have these figures,
thanks,
Amit
