I have mpg audio file and mpa audio file that I am trying to sync.
In the source range filter setting section I alter the audio gap correct.
After 11 trys the audio doesn't seem to budge. I have entered +12 up to +125 and the audio is still behind the video. Any advice? are my numbers too small? And is this just a hit or miss number or is there a way to hear the audio when it is out of sync?

Kim,
I'm not sure what audio app you're using with TMPGenc. (Maybe LAME?) Most audio apps measure audio delays in milliseconds. If I understand what your doing correctly then you are only inserting a .012/.125 sec delay into the audio stream. There are 1000 milliseconds in a second. So I think your inputing a delay thats TOO small.
Replay your last movie your created and try to approximate the delay. Look for for an event that should have a sound like actor dialog or car door slamming then start counting '1,2,3,4,etc'. When you hear the corresponding sound make a note of it. Repeat this until you have a best quess. Lets say you estimate a 2 sec delay. You will need to input a 2000 millisecond delay in your audio program.
This is what I do and I have been able to sync the movies usually within 5 tries. Try this for the time being. If you find a better way one day then please let me know.
