Hi!
I want to improve the encoding speed, so I wantet to set up VirtualDub to frameserve directly to CCE (btw. is this still faster than encoding with TMPGenc?). But the resizing filter in VDub does only linear resizing, it does not add black lines. Is there any way to set up TMPGenc to frameserve (Doing only the resizing with tmpgenc and the encoding with cce)? I can't figure out how to do that... Or ist there any way to make Vdub add the black lines?
thx

When you say it does not add black lines, I assume you mean black bars? All you need to do is when you do a resize in VDub choose the screen size without the black bars and then select the "Expand frame and letterbox image" option and enter the full screen size (to include the black bars).
I've probably explained that really badly but here's an example which might make more sense (I am working in PAL here so change figures for NTSC if necessary):
A 16:9 movie wants to have 75% of the screen with picture and the other 25% as black bars so you enter 352x216 as the first size and then in the letterbox section enter 352x288 and the black bars will be added. You can also see a preview to make sure you've got the amount of black bars on screen correct.
Incidentally, don't trust the figures above without checking them first; they are just there for a guide but I _think_ they're right.
