    Does anyone have this card? I was thinking about buying this card to do some basic video capturing (AVI only.) I was wondering if you can use Vitualdub to capture with this card.

    This card has an mpeg1/2 encoder chip on it. Why would you want to pay extra for this feature if you were not going to use it?

    I have the first model, WinTV-PVR, and with lots of tweaking it will do a decent job of mpeg1/2 video capturing. I have not used it for avi capturing tho..sorry.

    If you want hauppauge I suggest getting a model with out the mpeg hardware encoder. You will save yourself some money. You could use that for a nice HD.
