  1. Whenever I convert a DIVX AVI movie to MPEG2 everyting checks out perfectly until about 8 minutes left to go in the movies. Then the video freezes, but I still hear the audio until the end of the movie. This happens on all my converted movies. I use the program "Showbiz" that came with my HP200i DVD burner to convert the DIVX AVI's. Anyone have any suggestions?

  2. The DIVX may have bad frames.
Go here and download the special version of Virtualdub(scroll down and use "mp3 feeze" version)
    http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html

Open file > Video > Check for freeze.

Bad frames will be logged in Notepad and if there are not too many you can extract them with Virtualdub.
