  1. Hello,

my Cyberhome starts to flicker and breaks down to a blue screen (yes, same like the PCs, but without the error message): Does anybody know how to switch off the Macrovision copy protection or to remove the flickering?

    greetings

  2. I don't hink you can disable macrovision on the 528 without a hardware chip, although it was quite easy on the 512. Check out the forum at www.cyberhome-help.de

Have you been able to get your 528 to play VCD's created with TMPGenc without the picture "stuttering" every few seconds? No matter what I do I can't get rid of this problem. It also affects the software DVD player "Power DVD 4xp". I've noticed this on a lot of different machines. It's actually one reason why I burn SVCD's as they are a lot more stable in the 528!

I have a similar problem with some VCD's. They doesn't seem to be any thing wrong with the VCD when played on a PC but when played on the 528, it stutters every now and then. This appears to be a problem with a non PAL vcd, but if you have any idea's....

  4. I found that if I use xVCD or CVD MPEG2 the Cyberhome player (and indeed Power DVD) will play it perfectly. It's just basic VCD's that they don't like.

Might it make a difference if you select PAL or NTSC to match the VCD? I notice it's not auto-detecting.
