So anyways, my buddy Umair tells me how to play svcds on dvd players that claim they can play xvcds...
So i got into tmpgenc, take my video input, hit mpeg 1 vcd / multiplex
takes about 7 minutes to convert 800 mb.. ( insomnia svcd ) first disk..
I burn it in nero under the regular vcd tab but take the checkmark out of "create vcd standard compliant"
BOOM! The svcd plays on my JVC XV-S42. GOLD! But....
One problem, the edges of the picture look sharp... (eg. the mans shirt looks jagged, the book he's reading the outline of it looks jagged, etc.)
Anyone have any ideas what this could be? I'm glad enough I can play svcds without having to convert them to vcds, but if i could fix this it would be just that much better....
