Hello. I'm trying to burn SVCDs in Toast, but I think the files are too large. The downloaded BIN files are around 790MB and when I try to burn them, Toast says it can't write the lead-in or lead-out, and the burn fails. I've had this problem with Toast before--I can't seem to write anything that's longer than about 76 min on an 80 min CD. I also tried with cdrdao, but that failed too. I'm using OS X and the most recent version of Toast.
Any help please? Thanks.

Try asking Ross. He knows all about SVCD creation and may be able to help you out.

I have been experiencing a similar issue with Toast and other Mac burning programs (i.e., the Finder). It typically only sees 666mb of space available on a 700mb disc.
