ok i just builded my new pc months ago and still trying to learning how make my own home video to dvd-r ....ok my pc is p4 1.9/ 512mb/ 160gb 7200 hd/ dvd-r/ dvd-rom drive/ g-force 3 graphic card/ sound blaster 5.1 card/ 1493 firewire pci card/ and running windows xp pro....ok my question is do i need a video capture card to transfer from my dv camera to my pc and burn it with primodvd? or can i just use my 1493 firewire pci card and transfer to my pc then use any authoring dvd software and convert it to mpeg 2 and then burn it ? which is better software converting or hardware? which is faster? and this question for someone who done it before...how long does it nomally take let say a 1 1/2 hrs home movie to transfer and converted into mpeg 2, chapters and menuel and then burn it to dvd-r?
softwares i currently have: ulead dvd movie factory, ulead dvd workshop, ulead video studio, dvdit pe, my dvd, hollywood fx gold, avid xpress dv and dvd studio 7 pro these are all full version and damn me i dont know which is the best and how to use it please adivce me..
