Hi,
I'm capturing SVHS footage in Studio 7 using Pinnacl DC10+ capture card. The video is fine but interlaced. Studio 7 won't let me adjust the resolution I capture at so I select 720 by 540, both fields at 720 by 540 PAL at 6000kps
Then I import the AVI into Premiere 6 and frame serve to TMPGENC 2.54 using "video server" plug-in with video set to 480x576.
I chose the default SVCD template in TMPGENC and the deinterlace filter.
The only one that gives any reasonable result is one of the DOUBLE deinterlace filters. The others result in a weird zig-zag result.
I'm not sure what DOUBLE does but the video looks a bit blurred. The video has a lot of fast motion.
I've changed the field order and virtually every other setting to no avail.
It doesn't seem to matter what settings I have in Premiere or TMPGENC.
If I don't interlace then the result looks interlaced but the interlace lines aren't the same as the original AVI, they're sor of spaced apart and really ugly.
I want to deinterlace because I want to view the video on a PC Monitor.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Alan
I've searched through the forums and deinterlace links but this is weird
