Burned a large video file (for archiving) to a DVD-R with my Pioneer DVR-A03 to free-up space on my hard drive. I believe it's just under 4gb, but not actually 4gb. Now, I can't move it back. File's too big apparently... Is there any kind of software out there that allows you to move big files around like this?

For this size file, you need a NTFS file system. If you don't have this, you can use a program called SPLITTER which will split this file into smaller chunks that your system can handle.

Ok, thanks. Will have to try this "Splitter" program. Do you have to split the file up before burning to DVD-R, or can it split what's already on a DVD-R, and return it to hard disk?

Nevermind. Downloaded it, tested it, and it works great!

Anyone else who tries it - Just change the "size" box to read "MB, 999" (which splits the video file into 4 parts), and you're all set.
