I posted a similar question to this some time ago and thought maybe i had it but i was wrong. my problem is that i cant get the damn DVD to SVCD its hte eagles hell freezes over tour. i tried lots of different things. DVD2SVCD DVD2AVI DVDx TMPG CCE2.5 all of them fail in the encoding setion. i can rip it no problem but when CCE trys to encode i get the errror checksum error and somthing to the afect of second pass doens not macth the first pass and gives a HEX code that it expects this and gets this. i am following the DOOM dvd rip guide posted on this forum. so if you ase wondering what i am doing take a look at that and you will see. I was able to use DVD2SVCD to make SVCD of phantom menas (SP) with no problem.. i also tried the other programs i mentioned and got simmilar problems. like i mentioned the RIP goes fine and the DVD plays fine. To try to make this simple can someone tell me if/how i can make the VOB files 1 MPEG file.. i have not tried to combine the VOB files with mpeg tools in tmpg but i know that i cant get tmpg to convert them with out error. again memory checksum error.

anyone got a quick test for me so i can svcd this damn thing

    thanks for any help

    Did you try:

    Smartripper>Dvd2avi>tmpg?

If it doesnt work then there seems to be something wrong beyond anything i'd know.

  4. rip with internal routines and do not rip chapters 1 and 2 I believe..maybe even three. Rip only the concert and not the footage crap which is interlaced.
