  1. Hi!
I've got some problems by watching vcds, cause my TV doesn't show all available lines. (on top and bottom) This might not be a problem, but on the bottom of the movie are english subtitles, cause I didn't speak japanese.

Now my question - is it possible to insert some black lines by converting from avi to mpeg? It's no problem, if the movie will be squeezed a little bit
    .

    Thanks for reading

  2. hi there

I had the same problem with anime converting avi to mpg. If you are using tmpenc you can make a border so that you can get all the subtitiles.

I read on the forum that it is due to overscan on tvs, just do a search for overscan. I have gone through so many cds trying to get the perfect border, but it differs from tv to tv.

If you go to clip frame on project wizard - arrange settings - arrange method - center(custom size) then e.g i use pal, and i put mine at 330x 272, instead of 352x288.

You have to mess abuot with it - trail and error

    Hope that helps
