Well, I was trying to convert an AVI that I have into MPEG, just as I normally do, using TMPEGnc. I have done this many times, so it is almost routine. When I go to select the audio source, it gives me the error "File....can not open, or unsupported." I then tried using VirtualDub to rip the audio from the AVI, but when going to save the .WAV got the error "ACM failed to suggest audio decompression format." I hit "OK", then get another error, "AVIOutputWAV: The handle is invalid."
I cant figure out how to get around these errors. I encoded part of this video to MPEG about a week ago, on Windows 98. I installed Win XP the other night and am trying to convert the 2nd part of this video.
I tried several other .AVI files on my computer and all gave the same errors. I am guessing this is a compatibility problem with Win XP. Does anyone know any solutions?
Thanks.
