I need copyright free video file with embedded hardcoded subtitles of about 15-30 minutes for a YouTube Tutorial
I thought of using movies trailers but I think they are NOT copyright free according to YouTube.
Any ideas where to get such video files please without being flagged by YouTube?

  2. I looked a bit for a video in the public domain with hard coded subtitles.
    I did not find one.
I believe you will need to create your own.
Find a movie that is in the public domain that also has subtitles on one of the web sites that has subtitles .
Then hard code those into the video.
Or find a public domain movie with regular subs.
Extract those & use them for hard coded subtitles.

NASA.gov and other U.S. Government videos are copyright free for non-commercial use. Some may be hardsubbed for ADA compliance. If they're too short, stitch them together.

Also, archive.com should have public domain videos. Check carefully.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
I have been trying to get copyright free videos for a long time and it is really hard.
Yes I can create a video myself but it can be boring to whoever watches the tutorial.
    Any other suggestions please?

Search for "public domain". Lots of links to sources.

Also try subreddit r/publicdomain. There's a subreddit for everything! ;-p

Edit: Also search for Creative Commons (CC0). This allows creators to relinquish all potential copyrights to works to would otherwise automatically copyrighted.

Thanks a lot for mentioning NASA
I found a long video more than 3 hours without subtitles, but I can add the subtitles and hardcode it.
I hope that this will be considered as copyright free to use for educational purposes.
